Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 9, 2026
This privacy policy applies to Dial (hereby referred to as "the Application"), published by Zentsu LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Commercial service. The service is intended for use "AS IS".
The short version: your medication, dose, and reminder data stays in your own iCloud. Your weight log stays on your device and is never synced anywhere, even by us. The Service Provider runs no server, receives nothing, and cannot access what you store. Dial has no account system, and it carries no analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
The Application does not send any information to the Service Provider. Registration is not required and there are no accounts. Everything you track (the medications you add, doses, injection sites, side effects, reminder schedules, and titration plans) is data you enter yourself, and it is stored on your device. The Service Provider does not collect, receive, or have any way to see it.
Where is my medication data stored, and does the Application sync it?
Your medication, dose, side-effect, and reminder data is stored on your device and, when your device is signed in to iCloud, synced across your own devices through iCloud (Apple's CloudKit service), using the private iCloud database tied to your Apple Account. This is the only data that ever leaves your device, and it goes only to your own iCloud storage. The Service Provider operates no server, holds no copy of your data, and cannot access, read, or recover it. Whether syncing happens is controlled entirely by your device's system iCloud settings: if you sign out of iCloud or turn iCloud off for the Application, your data simply stays local to that device. iCloud storage and transmission are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
Where is my weight data stored?
Your weight log is kept in a separate, local-only store on your device. It is not part of the iCloud sync described above and does not leave your device through the Application under any circumstance. If you use Dial on more than one device, your weight entries on each device stay independent.
How does the Application use Health?
If you grant permission, Dial reads your body weight from Health to keep your weight log current, and can write weight entries you log in Dial back to Health. Dial does not read or write any other Health data category. Health data is never transmitted off your device to the Service Provider or to any other party. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, never shared with third parties, and never used for anything other than the Application's own weight tracking. You control this permission at any time in your device's system Health settings.
Is Dial a substitute for medical advice?
Dial is a tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It performs no dose calculations and makes no dosing recommendations of any kind: every dose, schedule, and titration step you record is one you entered yourself, on the guidance of your own judgment and your prescriber. Confirm anything about your treatment, including doses, schedules, and side effects, with your prescriber.
Does the Application send notifications?
The Application can schedule local reminders for doses and other events you configure, but only if you turn reminders on and grant notification permission. These are local notifications generated on your device from the data you entered. They are not sent from, or routed through, any Service Provider server, and no notification content is transmitted off your device.
Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?
The Application does not collect precise information about the location of your device.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
Since the Application transmits nothing to the Service Provider, there is no data for the Service Provider to share with third parties. The Application contains no third-party SDKs and no analytics of any kind. The optional one-time Pro purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit; the Service Provider receives no payment details from the transaction.
What are my opt-out rights and how do I delete my data?
You can stop all storage of information by the Application by deleting it. You may use the standard uninstall processes available as part of your device or application marketplace. Deleting an entry in the Application removes it from your synced devices. Data already synced to your iCloud remains in your iCloud account until you remove it. You can delete the Application's data from iCloud, or disable iCloud syncing for the Application at any time, in your device's system iCloud settings. You can revoke Health permission at any time in your device's system Health settings, and Health data already written to Health remains there under Apple's own controls until you remove it.
Children
The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider at [email protected] so that they will be able to take the necessary actions. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Since the Application does not transmit any information to the Service Provider, there is no risk of your data being accessed through the Service Provider. Data synced through iCloud is protected by your Apple Account and is encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest. Data in Health is protected by Apple's own Health data security controls.
Terms of Use
Your use of the Application is also governed by the Zentsu LLC Terms of Use.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to their Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.
