Today's round introduces はな with a flower picture, the English meaning flower, and the kanji 花.

A daily habit

A short round, then review when it is due

Today's round starts with due reviews and introduces up to seven new words. Missed words return a few questions later. As you answer correctly, reviews spread further apart.

The questions change as a word becomes more familiar. Match a spoken word to a picture, read kana, or choose the Japanese word for an English meaning.

An optional reminder brings you back to a word with its picture. Free practice is available from the Test menu when you want another round.

Set up once. Study offline.

Audio uses a Japanese voice installed on your iPhone. Setup helps you choose one or download an enhanced voice from Apple. After voice setup, vocabulary study and pictures work offline.

Choose kana or kanji first, show or hide romaji, and search in Japanese or English. Study progress stays on your iPhone. An account is not required.

A focused vocabulary tool

The word list draws on third-party N5, N4 and N3 study lists, with dictionary meanings and frequency sources credited in the app. It is vocabulary practice, not a complete Japanese course or an official JLPT syllabus.
